Tuason Racing Launches First Homegrown Filipino Esport Racing Series with Phoenix Pulse- Formula V1 Virtual Cup

After the successful Race for Frontliners last April, Tuason Racing continues to expand its virtual motorsports program by launching the Phoenix Pulse- Formula V1 Virtual Cup in September 2.

Tuason Racing, who is celebrating 21 years as the premier motorsports company in the country, is giving racing enthusiast another career path on the global motorsports competition using their very own Formula V1 program.

Formula V1 was launched two years ago and made history as the country’s only formula car program with both Filipino and International drivers. Winners of the series were given a chance to compete in Suzuka International Circuit and Fuji Speedway in Japan.

“We acknowledge how motorsports is changing and going out of the box. We are unboxing our Formula V1 series and providing two complementary career paths for all the racers out there,” said JP Tuason, CEO and founder of Tuason Racing.

Gamers and racing enthusiasts aged 15 years old and above are eligible to race against other participants, win prizes, and get a chance to be trained by Tuason Racing.

Participants in the Formula V1 Virtual Cup will get to drive the Formula V1 inspired race car in Assetto Corsa on Windows PC, and will have two racing classes for the public – the Promotional Class for novice drivers and have no experience or not associated in professional sim racing; and Sporting Class for professional eRacers, who competed in any sim racing events here and abroad.

The qualifying rounds will start on October 10, with the final round set on December 12. Interested participants may check the complete race guidelines and mechanics, and register at rb.gy/3ijwyo.

The Phoenix Pulse Formula V1 Virtual Cup 2020 Series is backed by LG Philippines, Family Mart, PC Express, Top Lift, Seven Garage, Ribbon Arc, Sim Racing PH, and Automobile Association of the Philippines. With media partners C! Magazine, Inquirer Mobility, Autocar Philippines, Wheels Philippines, Time Attack Manila, and AutoDeal.
